I've managed to avoid the end of round CTD several times now by hitting ESC when the exploding titan cut scene starts. After a moment the screen automatically goes back into the scoreboard then new round nps. However if the map changes it still crashes.. Still, 2 or 3 crash free rounds is less frustrating.

To be honest I don't really talk much - I'm usually concentrating more on not getting killed or not letting my squad/team die (usually medic).

trust EA to mess up a simple patch. This is exactly what happened with BF2, they releases a patch to fix a couple of glitches and in doing so just create more. Tonight was impossible i played 3 rounds on titan and everytime the game crashed at the end. wonder how long until patch 1.1 is out

the ctds are apparently only occuring with current nvidia/drivers drivers . no crashes and im using 84.69 i think

thats all i could find, ive heard you have to edit the registry or re-install (search EA forum)
tbh they'd have more success getting a fish to ride a bike than a working EA game !

50Klicks do have decent servers, but I do think the 50 man one should play all maps, if they did then I probably wouldn't bother with any other servers at all unless I had to. As much as I like Camp Gib, Tunis and Cerb, I do enjoy playing the other levels too, it's not like BF2 when I generally stuck to Karkand, Sharqi and Jalalabad, the maps are pretty much all good in BF2142 and only sticking to a few of them seems a bit of a waste.

Hey , For some reason I keep getting "Connection to the server lost" about 5-10 seconds after i click "Join Game" when the map's loaded.
I've figured out also that it could be because of NTL peak servers , I can get on fine in the day obviously because no one else is on the internet!
As soon as i get on at night in the peak hours of the internet - I get disconnected.....
Any suggestions?

Tried that and clearing the temp files, still get the same message. My EA link doesnt show patch 1.05 as a file available but i have tried the file from two different sites(one being EA themselves).
was playing Tunis last night. Would prefer only to play at most 3 rounds of the same map (some rounds are 40 minutes +)
Its a reasonably good map but theres too many places to die!!!!!!!! lots of snipers as well. only map i know well is Sidi Power Plant (ie the demo map)

Yeah the snipers are pretty dominant in Tunis, but then they have a pretty hard time in the majority of the other maps, so I suppose it's okay. How do you use the grubber 5 stabilizer? and what exactly is it meant to do?unlocked it last night as i leave the guns to be unlocked thru field upgrades, which means ive only got the support ips sheild side to do and the sl stuff and xtra clip and nade.

the stabilizer can only be equiped whilst in Recon class, you then use 'shift' to stop the scope from swaying/bobbing
it only lasts approx 5 secs and can help with tricky long shots
you can also use it inconjunction with the lambert carbine (also Recon class)
