(a bit Metro)..how do i shrink a jumper?

I've got a nice jumper from Banana Republic, it's 70% cotton, 15% Angora and 15% cashmere.

It now sort of hangs on me, the sleeves are a tad loose as is the bottom of the jumper.

Any tips on how to shrink it?

I'm tempted to stick it in the washing machine...? It is 70% cotton after all.

On a slight tangent, is there any way to reverse the shrinkage?

Most of my jumper collection, soon after coming to uni, has started to shrink to the obviously-tight region. Don't really want to replace them all

get it altered.. it will cost a bit of money but not a lot.. fortunatly my missus is a costume designer so i get it for free !

i wouldnt recommend shrinking it cos you can't really control the outcome very well hehe

wear it in a VERY hot bath, it should shrink to your body size, just be careful over how hot you can stand

Boil it for ages, then squeeze in, you'll get that gay too tight indie kid look all the ponces are going for nowadays
