Hey guys, I'm due an upgrade and I'm wanting a PC that is going to last a good while, I'm not sure whether to go for an i5/i7 or an AMD FX-8350, obviously Intel are the better CPU, I'm just not sure if I can justify spending that much, can someone tell me which I should go towards and maybe convince me into an i7? Got everything else pretty much mapped out just not sure what CPU!

thanks
:)

Hello and Welcome to the Forum.

Firstly, what is your budget?
Secondly, what will the PC be used for?

:)

You'd get more value for money if you build yourself, but I'll take a ganders at what they have.

Could you build yourself?
Where are you based? There maybe someone on the forum close to you who can help!

The alternative would be to spec you for £900 and then request a quote from OCUK for building & shipping to you.

It's not buying a pre-built, it's us specing you a £900 rig and then you calling them requesting a quote for building. This way you get value for money and don't have to worry about building yourself.
