hi
i have just installed a new dual core amd 3800+ cpu and am trying to overclock - i have a copy of the guide from the forums but am getting a bit confused with some of the terminology and am unsure what to do next
so far all i have done is up the cpu freq from 200 to 210
what i am confused about is
a) the RAM divider - as i am not sure a) what it is at the moment, and b) what it is called in the BIOS (i have an ASUS A8N-E with the 1013 bios) - i think its 12(??) but even if it is do i start to increase or decrease it?
b) the memory setings in BIOS is 333 but i think i can change it to 400 with the typr of memory i have??? However if i do this i then think all i need to change:
CAS 2 to 3
tRAS 5 to 6
is this correct?
c) i haven't changed any voltages - again its a bit confusing because the BIOS just says auto so not sure what the setting currently is - HOWEVER i have now loaded PCPROBE which give me the following readouts:
vcore 1.34
3.3 3.26
5.0 4.87
12 12.1
cpu 31 degrees idle goes to 44 degrees under load
mb 32 degrees idle
do i need to change any of these?
d) am i missing anything else at all??
