Update on my progress - Ive got the CPU installed with cooler Assembled the motherboard onto the case tray and have installed 2 harddrives also the dvd writer and rom. I put the rom on master and the writer on slave. Is this right? Also installed the power supply. On the case there are 2 power supply cables coming out of the front-are both meant to be given power?
Is there anything to watch out for in connecting the leads to the motherboard? When thats done will I go ahead and switch on and install XP? Is there much to be done with the BIOS settings?
I'm almost there and am getting such satisfaction from the experience. Thanks for all the help and support -keep it coming!

We've been in Portrush over the Summer and, to be honest, I could do with a good blast of Portrush wind at the moment to keep me alert!! but how do I find out the memory speed?
