Anyone know anything about the Black Intel X25-M SSDSA2MH160G2C1902384? I notice it is the same part no as the silver G2C1 but has the extra 1902384 code. Is it just a black colour version or is there anything else different about it?

also, are the Samsung PB22 drives any good? I know the Intel M25`s are the most highly rated but is the Samsung in 256GB size any good?(I notice the larger samsungs are faster than the smaller Samsung SSD drives. The Samsungs have trim built into the controller I think. I think the Samsungs have been around longer than both the Crucial M225 and Intel G2`s

I`m still finding SSD info is a bit sketchy, not completely trustworthy either. Is Intel the only way to go, or are the others nearly as good?

Pretty sure I read somewhere that the silver G2's are OEM and the black/silver G2's are retail. As for Samsung's, I wouldn't touch them until Samsung pull their finger out and support the drives with firmware (TRIM, etc).

Actually, if you investigate further, you might find it's 9.5mm and black because of a removable shroud. Being a retail drive, it comes with extra doodads, but it's still a bog standard 7mm G2 all the same.
