A boring dilemma, sorry, but help?

Normally you'd be daft to swap, as you wouldn't know the history. In these circumstances, it's much less of a gamble. As long as you know the Signum may not be as reliable (more complicated car) or cheap to run (Mondeo parts are cheap as chips) then go with whichever you prefer :)

Thanks for the responses guys, I know 13 year old Vauxhall's aren't very thrilling normally!

I did swap. Had the Signum for a week. Air con was fixed by a very nice chap at ACDC air conditioning (mobile, based in Ilkeston) for 200 quid which seemed decent. Did a thorough job, very trustworthy. Working brilliantly, climate control great for the missus and the kids had it too in the back now (and the dog).

Insurance more but cancelled out by the tax. Fuel is incomparable. The swap owes me 50 quid and that's a month's fuel difference so I'll soon be up.

It's a pleasure to drive, lovely inside and better for the dog and kids with the massive rear space.

Cheers chaps.
