A Brief History of WoW (and why it sucks)

crap post tbh, the level cap was never 40, I was running around with 60s in the CLOSED beta.
I seriously doubt they were losing loads of subscriptions either within the first year, and the game wasnt really $20 was it? It was £30 in UK? MMOs often have the initial massive surge of players, obviously not everyone will like it and some will leave after trial period/few months, Companies are not stupid and expect this. Probably why the game is expensive upon initial release aswell as to recoup costs.

I do agree though, crap game. Somewhat pointless.

Yeh that was just MEH

also WW2:online - good theory just does not work
Planetside - turn based 0.o ?! *sick*

lol.. wow it's pretty obvious who didn't get past the first couple of paragraphs.

Since the first couple of paragraphs contained more factual errors than a public statement by Ian Blair, most of us probably saw no point in going any further.

The golden rule of criticism is "make sure you know what you're talking about".

agreed. After reading the whole thing after critisism about only reading the first 2 paragraphs I feel betreyed. I make sure whenever I complain about anything I know about it first.

didn't realise there was such a WoW following here =/

Indeed. I actually thought it was a rather amusing read!
Partially of-course to my own fond memories of dreaming up conspiracy theory's all concluding in blizzards total control and final annihilation of mankind.
