How exactly is this in the cloud? Is it a VM whereby you pay for resources used? What's the PBX? Asterisk?

I'd put it above that - 8/10 -about the same quality as a normal telephone call. The background noise will have just been somebody with a dodgy mic - when everyone was off it sounded clear

It's a bastardization of a few things.

Cloud VM linux build, asterisk (very old version, heavily modified).

Problem with cloud is you need a timing source to run meetme (the conference app). To have a timing source you need one of two things:

1) PSTN hardware (not possible in a VM)
2) A dummy timing source (which to install you need to modify the kernel, which VM/Cloud providers wont let you do for obvious reasons)

Needless to say its taken me a while to work it out. But it works
