I'm hoping to buy a 2nd 280x soon and i was just wondering if I need a Xfire bridge? I remember seeing somewhere that you dont need them any more but i cant remember if thats just for new cards and/or motherboards?

Also, how does overclocking work with Afterburner with dual cards? Does it just try to apply your settings to both cards or can you have different settings for each card?

Thanks

Theres a tick box in afterburner to Synchronize settings for similar GPUs. You will need a bridge for 280x cards still, they removed the need on the 290 series cards i believe. You should have one in your graphics card box.

I suggest clocking them together for gaming, for benchmarking you can get slightly higher results for seperate clocking, but in some games i found it looked unsmooth. I guess it depends on the games crossfire profile for which method its using.
