I was wondering how powerful my PSU would need to be to run an

AMD Athlon XP 3000+
1024MB DDR RAM
X1950 PRO

As I believe my current PSU is 350watts, at least it says thats the max output? :p

Anyway, I believe my CPU is Socket A, and i'd be interested if anyone knows where to find any powerful CPU's compatible with my Mobo/Socket? I know it wont be that high, but before buying a whole new PC around Autumn time i'm interested in maxing out this PC, so any help would be appreciated, Many Thanks to whoever can help :)

Many Thanks :) and although it's below 350Watts, by about 20/50 Watts, i'm not sure i'd trust myself enough to think that there isnt something else in my PC that will push it over the 350 Watt mark that, that site hasnt covered, even when I said my Capacitor has aged 25% even though I have no idea how aged it is, it still left me under the 350 Watts but i'm just gonna be paranoid :( :p

If its a cheaper or unbranded PSU then yes i'd agree that perhaps a better PSU could be in order, although that calculater does over compensate to a degree but its the best tool i know of to get a good idea, pure wattage isnt AS important as the stability, and that you will only find with the leading brands :)

I mean 600W q-tec cannot compare to a 400W OCZ for quality and power output imo

Perhaps i'll invest a lil in a PSU too, since I want to just get the max potential from AGP really, before I switch to PCI-E, I mean I just put in 2 Gig earlier, and it's the first time i've ever seen 2 Gig on a Machine, and it's just crazy :p

But how much do you think my CPU will bottleneck the X1950PRO, would it be ok in less CPU intensive games? Many Thanks :) :p
