What's the storage looking like benchies wise now? I'm just weighing up ditching the perc and going onboard 10 with the SSD cache, be interested to see how it looks.

Can I ask why you went with so many hdds in RAID rather than say a couple or 3 SSDs in a RAID and something separate for hard storage such as a microserver (or even a second rig seeing as you have the money!).

I just prefer to keep my media and backups on a separate device and my main rig as slimmed down as I can.

What connection speeds are you getting with the icydock rack, I think they are rated for 3gb speeds.
