I am having a Dilemma at the moment so am using the word inchat. I thought it was Dilemna but my spell check corrected it to Dilemma. I ignorantly follow my spellcheck like an old women following tomtom into a Ford.

377 for dilemma.
My search was merely to demonstrate that it's not the first time it's been used on the forums, rather than try to prove it's an acceptable spelling of the word.

I think from now on I'll follow a previous poster's suggestion and use predicament instead - after all these years of dilemna, it feels strange changing it to dilemma :D

I always thought it was 'dilemna'

All evidence however, including Firefox points to the contrary. I'm certain I learned to spell it with an 'n'... :(

EDIT - Guess I'm a boat load of crazy then!

hehe, nice poll :D

There are five people sitting at my bank of desks and I've asked three of them how they spelt it - two said "dilemna" and one said "dilemma" - the latter was the only one for whom English isn't their first language! :D the other two refuse to accept it and have run off to find dictionaries - this is proving amusing :D

I have always written dilemma.

I swear by the Oxford Dictionary when it comes to spelling, and not by what's usually on the net. The dictionary doesn't have dilemna at all.
