a disc managment tool?

I'm after a hd utility i can use before i load windows to format and create partitions.
i used to use acronis OS selector that had a hd utility but this doesn't work now it always has but now i have a sata2 hdd and it doesn't seem to work maybe a dodgey floppy but i cant find the cd thaqt had it on to try another.

win xp btw.

GParted is one of the better ones. Create a bootable CD with it and you can play around with partitions to your heart's content. And it's free!
 
Norton Partition Magic is a good one, i use it all the time and never had a problem.

GParted is also good. I found it very easy to use when installing linux. However, i tried using the live cd version of it and couldn't get it to work :confused: If you can get it working though then i would use that over anything else.
