My system atm has 3 hard drive in it, a 2Tb SATA primary with OS and files, a notebook 2.5" IDE for backup and an empty 320Gb Sata.
So yesterday i do a fresh install of Windows 7 onto the blank 320Gb to have a look and see whether i prefer than or vista for my new ssd which is coming on monday ( :) )
Now however, if i boot the 320, it blue screens, if i boot the Tb it says "A disk read error has occured press ctrl+alt=delete to restart" before it starts to load the os.... has the drive died on me? :( if so what can i do with it? still under warranty so does it need RMAing?

Use fixboot and/or fixmbr from the recovery console. Actually if you boot from the W7 disk it'll probably fix it itself for you.

It's no issue with the disk. Just the MBR or boot records are off.

7 is far better than Vista. I understood people delaying XP to 7 but not from Vista, it looks about the same but works properly.
