sigma 80-400 on a 300D, maybe for the last time might be getting a 30D next week if i play my cards right

If only i had the spare cash for a 30d! Stuck with a Sony f717... great little prosumer but still no dslr!!! :rolleyes:

Plus my 5x zoom pales in comparison to a 400mm mmmmm lense!

Anyway... great shots!

Buy your self an Infra filter for it and you wont be complaining anymore.

Is it just me or are these shots a little dark/lacking in contrast, and some have a colour cast..?

They're nice and sharp but they'd make much better photos if levels/colours were tampered with a bit IMO.

I agree with kate, i think the flying shots could do with some contrast work to really bring them out! The one of the Hawk on the ground is fine IMO, the others however do seem a bit dull.

Nice shots, but the look a bit washed out // with colour casts to me, too.

I reckon some clipping of highlights, and some other contrast boosting adjustments would do them no end of good.
Just my personal taste, though!
