Can any of you 'clockers help with a problem ive got?

Good.

The problem is, my mates Pc, hes got my old hardware, know it used to run Ultimate 64Bit. Thing is, now ive put HP 64Bit on, its not installing the chipset drivers properly, only installs RAID, now without those chipset drivers we have no internets.....were do i start? Its been driving me bonkers!

The mobo in question is an Asus M2N SLi Deluxe.

If you're using an HP driver CD, you might want to consider getting the drivers direct from the motherboard manufacturer. PC supplier discs often give me jip.

Home Premium...not Hewlett Packard...sorry for confusion.

How did you load the new OS? Not 'over-the-top' of the old one I hope?

Formatted HDD (was used for DATA storage anyway)

Chipset drivers don't install LAN or wireless drivers. They are seperate, or you could get Windows Update to install them.

Well...how can we get Windows Update to do it, when we have no ethernet working on it?

Got it working, last time it wouldnt work, this time 1st time on plugging my upstairs ethernet into his machine...odd
