Am looking at mainly an OS drive, but would like a bit of space for extra applications (no games).
Looking in the 30-100gb section, I've found a couple that catch my eye:
Crucial RealSSD M4 64GB - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-008-CR&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=910
This has a blisteringly fast read time, but a pretty poor write time. Tbh, I'm not sure what to make of this... I've heard that Crucial are about the best SSD's around atm, but that seems heavily inbalanced?
OCZ Vertex 2E 60GB - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-047-OC&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=910
A very balanced R/W of 280mb/s... this seems perfectly balanced and still incredibly quick, and I think that OCZ SSD's are close to Crucial quality?
OCZ Vertex 2E BigFoot 90GB 3.5" - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-059-OC&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=910
Any explanation as to what the advantage/disadvantage to having the larger disk is? It has the same R/W speeds so I'm missing something I think and the same goes with the "25nm edition" SSD's.
Look forward to hearing your replies.
