A few upgrades?

Hey guys, so I've got roughly £250 and I wanted to get a few minor upgrades to my computer, here are my specs (they are also in my signature).

Intel core i5-750 @ 2.7GHz
8GB DDR3 @ 1333MHZ (9-9-9-24)
AMD 5770
2TB HDD @ 5400RPM (Will be my storage drive when I get a SSD)
750w PSU stock (came with computer)
Razer Lycosa & Razer Lachesis

---------

I'm not quite sure what I want to upgrade to be honest, I really want to upgrade either my mouse/keyboard or maybe the psu/hdd, I did want the Razer Blackwidow Stealth but it's not available on OCUK for some reason which sucks, I don't like the feel of the Razer Lachesis it's a little long, I prefer the Logitech G9X.

I wouldn't mind buying an M4 Crucial SSD or a PSU either that would be quite good for me, but i'm open for suggestions on what to buy to upgrade my system.

Thanks.

I'm not sure if it's crappy or not, I've had it for just under 2 years and no problems so far, it's not a branded PSU, I think it's one of those stock ones from a company that isn't Corsair, Antec etc.

Games could run better to be honest, but this GPU is sufficient.

That's a good idea, best of all worlds then!
500W is ample for most single GPU rigs don't worry (as long as it's a quality one)

Very much so!

If that is the case...

YOUR BASKET
1 x Crucial RealSSD M4 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CT128M4SSD2) £154.99
1 x XFX 650W XXX Edition Modular '80 Plus Bronze' Power Supply £81.98
Total : £248.38 (includes shipping : £9.50).

The 650W will have plenty of power for your rig (with plenty of headroom)! Except if you ever plan to crossfire, in which case:

Might go for this then to be honest! :>

I'm only going to be running my O/S off my SSD, are they worth it? as I wont be running games off there or anything like that?

I 'may' install my Adobe CS5 suite on there though?

If you are only going to install your OS off the SSD, maybe just get a 64GB one. If you are going to or might put some programs on there I'd recommend the 128 for the extra space.

Most people seem to say getting an SSD is one of the best upgrades they've done! It will decrease boot times, and loading times and generally make Windows feel snappier :)

Headroom for what?

I don't know, the future? New GPUs, more GPUs, overclocking etc...

I think I'll go ahead and order the parts later, still not 100% on what to get, I think it's most definite that I'll get the SSD & PSU though to be honest.
