Couldnt agree more with you there mate. :D

??? Lighthearted thread or not, how can you offer anything with your post count. (Hope that is not construed as offensive). ;)

Anyways, in answer to the OP. You may disagree with him 99% of the time, but that's what keeps these boards lively, differing viewpoints. He is articulate (an atribute often overlooked in these days of text speak and fire and forget responses in threads), he won't suffer fools easily and is very opinionated (nothing wrong with that).

On the other side of the coin (and I don't personally know him, my opinion of him is purely based on my contact with him through these forums), whilst quick with the cutting comments, he is equally quick to offer help, support and advice. He appears to make every effort to attend meets etc and I get the impression he makes friends easily. And he is fiercely loyal to his friends, something often sadly lacking these days. Many times, he has wound me up no end with his comments, but often has left me grinning in total agreement.

I'm a Yorkshireman although I now live amongst the good folk of Oxfordshire. I don't keep coal in my bath, but I do have a cloth cap, ferrets and a greyhound (I don't really, that was just for effect), but I hate the hot weather, I think Ian Brown is a genius and would like to eventually settle back in the paradise that is Yorkshire. Does that make me a bad man?

How quickly would these forums wither on the vine and die without people like him?

I don't think this thread went the way the OP intended :p
Not quite, no- 'twas intended to be some light hearted banter towards another member I fully understand I am entitled to my opinion, and he is fully entitled to his (incorrect :p ) opinion on most things.

I mean, Leon Cupra R- Ugly? Come on!! :)

When I first got onto the forums I thought him extremely arrogant, but I guess it's just how he comes across and as he says in a post above he can't be bothered starting every post with an "IMHO..." which is fine by me. We're all entitled to our opinion etc not here to judge etc zzzz

He's not at all arrogant, he's a Yorkshireman. It's genetic :p

Stone roses may > *, but it's a shame Ian Brown's such a bumhole :)

Whoa, wait hang on, didn't you about two years ago have me go through the hard process of re-learning your damn name with a J instead of a hard G?

Nope. Never. Some fools round here might pronounce it Jilly, but they're all wrong.

Don't tell me you had it right and then learnt to pronounce/read it wrong!

It originates from my surname :) ends with 'kill', and a mate at college couldn't pronounce it right so he said gill, and it only got worse when drunk or playing footy, so it became gilly because it was easier.
