A gaming headset with a Transparency mode?

Hi, I have a slightly odd requirement and I'm not sure if such a headset actually exists or not so I thought I'd pick your brains on here.

I'm looking to get a headset for my PC that will be used almost exclusively for gaming and watching Twitch etc. I share my home office with my wife and so I need a closed back set so she doesn't have to hear anything if she's working while I'm playing. However the tricky bit is that I need to be able to hear either my wife talking to me or if my children call me from another room so I can't have something that blocks out all exterior sound. Now on my Pixel Buds Pro they have a Transparency mode as part of the noise cancelling function that does just what I want so are there any over the hear headsets with a similar function? I would obviously like decent sound quality but I'm not looking for anything serious audiophile level. I don't mind wired or wireless and ideally I'd like to keep the price under £100 if possible.

Does such a headset exist?

Many Thanks.

not sure whats the difference between "gaming" headset
and non gaming
other than possibly a mic
but something from anker soundcore range
certainly fits for closed back, transparency mode and under £100

Thanks for that, yeah all I meant by gaming is that I need a mic for chatting while playing. Those Anker ones look nice but I'm slightly concerned about them only using a bluetooth connection as I've been trying to use my Pixel Buds and it hasn't been a smooth experience so far.

I got my partner a set
For flying to Australia last year
Pretty sure she was able to connect them with
A cable and audio jack on the plane
As meant to turn off your WiFi and Bluetooth
Though unsure if the noise cancellation and transparency mode
Works when connected by cable
I paid under £60 for them on special offer and have to say
For the money they were very impressive
Not quite as good as my Sony WH-1000XM4 but those were 4 x the price

Almost 2am so can't go get them to check anything
But I did test them with Bluetooth on my pc
And they were pretty good
And she used Bluetooth with her phone and ipod no problems
They were even better sound wise connected to my pc by cable
As my motherboard has a great audio solution

If there's any thing specific about them you want to know
I can have a look tomorrow
No idea if the mics built in can be used as actual mics
Rather than just for the noise cancelling part
But wasn't something I was interested in so didn't look

Thanks very much for that, really useful to know. Which set was it you bought? If you could check to see if the noise cancelling and transparency work when using the wired connection (I assume a standard 3.5mm jack?) that would be great?

anker soundcore life q30
yes 3.5mm jack
it looks like active noise cancelling and transparency
only work when connected by bluetooth
i have a feeling thats also the case with my sony WH-1000XM4
so might be all of them are the same
i only used the cable on the plane
the rest of the time i used the bluetooth
didnt have any disconnection issues when i tested her q30

edit
i think you can set the level of anc using their app
so you have a setting that allows some background noise to be heard
so you dont go walking into traffic etc because you didnt hear it
then you can also touch the right ear cup for a second to activate full transparency
so if you want to talk to someone without removing the headphones you can

Thanks very much for looking into that for me, it's most appreciated. Yeah I can imagine the use case for it doesn't normally apply to sitting at a desk so it's probably not going to be a common feature. Ah well, maybe I'll just try for the bluetooth connection and see how it goes.
