Hi,

I was wondering what graphics card would best match for my amd 940 and ddr2 1066 ram?

i have an overclock of 3.7ghz on the cpu and 1080mhz on the ram.my monitor is 22" 1680 x 1050

i only have 1 monitor so eyefinity doesnt matter, i have an 8800gt so physx doesnt matter.

i dont care if its nvidia or amd, id like atleast one suggestion of each really

whats overkill? whats underkill? whats juuuuuuuust right?

thanks for any advice.

fair enough! i was starting to think my cpu was getting old and slow, and worse cause its ddr2, that concerns me. i have read threads around already which have budgets so i know what suits what budget, i just wanted to make sure i didnt waste my money when it could have been better spent on another component(s).

budget is around 200 though, so feeling is that gpu upgrade from an 8800gt is best move then?

thanks raven for the reassurance.

6850/460 are recommended, why shouldnt i get a better card than that? 6870/470? or even 5870/480?

rav, would be great to know how u get on with that card, i suspect ur rig performs very similar to my own. (maybe some sort of bench mark we can both use to compare would be useful.. 3dmark06 or what ever)
