KOTOR? Mass Effect? Gah...

Both awesome games, love them both but they're firmly wedged between 'action' and 'RPG'. If you can't pick up a +1 Mace, it aint an RPG

OK, it's Fallout then!Have gone through Vampire in the past but lost interest at it.
Should i pick up Fallout 1 or 2?

u can emm pick fallout 1 and 2 for free in those dirty downloadable websites that we all love :rolleyes:

start playing from fallout 1 as it will make fallout 2 more fun then im going to play f1 tomorrow

hrmm well Fallout is the clear choice for heavy rpg but you mentioned

I started Icewind Dale but lost interest due to less than acceptable (for me) graphics

given that it looks like you're not that your now not bothered about the graphics then i'll throw into the ring..

Arcanum of Steamworks Obscura

Graphics are better than fallout series (and bg imo) but still old skool isometric party grooviness.

Another one for Baldurs Gate...one of my all time favourite games. Used to have so much fun with that and a great story although I never fully understood at the time.. due to my young age and err..just wanting to kill people rather than listen to a story hah

But I did come around to admire the story etc !

Baldur's Gate. It's dated, but damn it's good. Just don't be put off by the poor graphics and sound

Other good ones are Morrowind and Knights of the Old Republic.

If liked BG2 you could try Baldur's Gate. The GFX, and a few other things, can be improved by playing using a mod called TuTu. This allows you to play it using the BG2 engine. You can also use other mods such as the Banter Pack. Some prefer it to the second game.
