Why is that such an issue? 12 years ago, he said it how it is today. Moving away from the UK to escape the attention and media, and gain the tax benefits. He loses out on living in the UK as a result.

In other news, UK citizens have saved over £8 trillion (yes, trillion) into ISAs and saved over £30 billion (yes, billion) of income tax, by doing nothing other than sitting on their arses and filling out an application form and definitely not going through the complications of emigrating. As legitimate a move as Hamilton has done.

I'd do exactly the same in his position.

I would almost guarantee that the vast majority of people if earning the sort of money Lewis is, and had the chance and opportunity to live anywhere they wished to in the world, would very quickly move abroad and away from this country.

I very much doubt tax had any influence whatsoever in his choice to move abroad.

I know right? Would I do the same most likely, morally correct ? Nope, but I rather be honest with myself than lie and say I wouldn't

Also would anyone stay in a flat in Stevenage (or anywhere in the UK really) for the rest of his live with his money and life style or Monaco...
