Do we have to guess what they are? Are you studying to be an A level magician?

Excellent choices, with those subjects you'll be able to study or if you really want you could study. After that, you can get a job at and earn up to per year!

Go for it mate!

Depends what you want to do at uni. BSc you're going to want less soft subjects than if you're doing a BA. Ultimately though do what you think you will do best in and enjoy the most.

Haha. That made me laugh :D

Oh and seconded. You might also want to consider studying or.

Meh hate the phrase 'soft subject', it's so elitist and I hate elitism ><

Geography was my favourite subject at A-level. It was a bit like studying a national geographic magazine. We learnt a bit of science, economics and business, environmental studies, biology and of course, art (colouring in).

We need a short list and what degree you might actually want to do...

Nite is clearly taking issue with the fact that he did a bunch of 'soft subjects' xD

The soft/hard subject 'thing' people cling to is ridiculous. As is the rubbish about BA vs BSc, etc (obviously LLB > *).

Anyway, it's not a case of sciences/maths > *, as people try to paint it.

It certainly is the case if you want to do a science related degree.

Well obviously, but they aren't going to help with a history degree are they so it's a totally mute point :p

Edit: If I could go back I'd get a bit of languages in there. Languages is one of the things you assume is silly or pointless when younger and then you wish you could speak another language later on.

It's not an even a thing except in the minds of the StarForce Attack Squad (BSc) Brigade Rank 9. In my experience, employers couldn't give a **** (I am one of these employers).

So, having said that, let's welcome all the soon-to-be, almost-were, and never-will-be's to the table to debate to a non-final conclusion why their degree is better (it's not) than the one some guy they've never met on the internet (it's still not) somehow gained.

I have a BSc for reference and it carries no weight or significance of any sort at all. I do get to flip The Burger more often than my BA buddies though so I guess that extra hard work was worth it. Would you like to supersize your meal?

Moot point. It's a moot point. If you chose a less soft degree you might have known that.

:fake edit: and yes, I deliberately chose to omit the last part of your post because it directly refers to my point. Maybe that makes what I'm saying a bit of a mute point.

It's 'mute point' you dummy. Where did you school? The clown ... shop?

Just as long as you do a few subjects you are good at and at least one from the core 3 of maths, english and science you should be fine.

Universities want to see you can do well at the subject you want to do there but also at other subject areas at the same time.

Also take some music lessons out side of class to make your self look more interesting. Maybe some volunteer work, even win at a team sports. Just don't apply saying I can kill noobs. No one likes that.
