Has anyone done an A-Level from home, and do you recommend a learn-at-home provider like ICS, or is it better value just to pay for exam entrance somewhere and buy the material yourself?

I've actually done the equivalent to that course as part of my degree - what I want is the A-level, to be able to say "I've got an A-level in Maths".

No rational reason, just something I feel the need to conquer :)

Aha. Well then why not just ask at local exam centres (colleges/sixth forms) if you can sit the exam. They should give you the specification and it'll be cheap as chips (<£30 per module).

Screw material if you can already do it. Just get a revision guide or two.
