A Level Results Day - Eeek

I'm hoping to enjoy it from the off... two thirds of my course being women might help :D.

Well... you will enjoy the social life ;)

Saying that, some of the most irritating females & males I have ever met have been undergraduate lawyers. They need to have a smarm-ectomy :p

I got 3 M's for my BTEC ND for IT practitioners. I could've done better, easily, it's not even difficult work. It's just long, tedious writeups for the most part. Didn't really learn a lot considering I had already taught myself most of the course material prior to joining the course, probably my own fault I found it uninteresting.

I'm doing maths, biology and now an as-yet undecided course (possibly psychology or media studies) at AS level and hopefully physics AS as a distance learning course in September. The reason one is as-yet undecided was because I signed up to do physics at college, but in July they told me they weren't doing that course any more - and my GCSE's won't get me into anywhere else that was offering physics, especially not that late in the day.

Yeah well........I suck :(

Got BBB.

Course wanted ABB. I would have thought with all the **** that has happened to me over the past couple of years that maybe they might have been more leniant........not a chance.

Thing to remember is it's not all about the grades. :)

I got a ridiculously low offer and I'd wager on it being because my Personal Statement showed relevant experience and interest, and I was applying for deferred entry with a gap year working in the industry... actually at a company that recruits graduates from that university and has some at placement year.

Some of my mates didn't get their grades but phoned up and got in fine, though to be fair they weren't "Tip-Top" universities. ;)

Then there's my friend who got 5 A's at AS (Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, German) and got 4 A's at A2 (Maths, Chemistry, Biology, German) but she only got one interview and no offers of the 5 places she applied to.
