i did ICT, i found the following out :

A.) The moderated criteria was completly irrelivant in many pieces of coursework (AVCE) , E.G Built a computer system, "A1 criteria - meet deadlines"...riiiight takes skillz..

B.) I didnt use any of my lesson time wisely, unless it was debating the next hardware to buy or game reviews...at least its ICT related..

C.) That anyone who could type up things to a high standard could achieve a higher grade than any given Geek...

anyone else find the course (AVCE) slightly off-course ? lol

Edexcel?

I found that what you created could be very very average but as long as your write-up (implementaton/testing etc...) was great then you would most likely get a "great" mark. Alternatively, what you made could have been absolutely amazing but if your write-up was poor then you would end up with a pretty poor mark.

Assuming thats the same course :p
 
Ours was Edexcel...

In AS we had to comment on Websites...and do some sort of booking spreadsheet for a leisure centre...aswell as a Exam in the January.

In A2 we had an Exam in January, and had to complete a lot of coursework...My portfolio was bigger than the phonebook by a substancial amount...it involved a Powerpoint designed for a touchscreen...a website which addressed colour blind needs and a spreadsheet for a special needs person...then we had to do our own website in HTML, and upload it along with a lot of written work...heres the website I did

AQA here, i failed my coursework module for A2, 20% marks down the pan, oh well

teach me to be stuborn and forget everything id been taught months before the coursework, live and learn i guess

Same. That coursework sucked.
I still don't know how to work access.

i now hate access with a passion, its sort of a mini piece of hell for me now :mad:

and yup, i still dont have a clue what im doing with it

After a year. I still aren't sure.
I don't know what a database is, or what it's for.
Had nice graphics though on mine :D That's all mind you.

nah, driving A2 students completely round the bend causing them to be very aggressive towards the schools IT department
 
Well I did AVCE ICT and it was fab!

I'd recommend it to anyone!

My teacher amused me by saying...

"This is the work here is of grade A, and will need to be atleast this thick."

Mine was like double, if not triple it

just plain out of the box annoying AQA ICT, hell if i know anything else about it, why would i even want to

sure as hell wasnt computing, waaay too much writing up for that

lol well at the last minute (the night before of signing onto AS) I changed my mind from Computing to AVCE ICT :D

So glad! I must stop going on about it!
