Hi there, I havent been on here in a while but I do however have a little problem.
I currently bought a Asus Striker Extreme motherboard and have an intel E6600 with crucial balistix or however you spell it ram which is 6400. I try to overclock my machine via the lazy way and use the AI overclock, but i cant seem to get the machine to be stable over 2.74 i think it is. I hear load of roumors about that board and cpu can clock way more, some haven even reached 4ghz, but id like even to get up in the 3ghz and have a stable machine.
when i put it to 20% overclock i think it speeds the ram up too much to about 945mhz or something like that, (im not sure as im at work at the moment).
I also have a zalman 9700 nvidia cooler on it so it should be cool enough.
The reason i use the AI overclock is because i dont know enough about manually overclocking no matter how many times i read tutorials no matter wether its from here at overclockers or anywhere else i cant seem to get it into my head.#
If anyone can tell me or advise me on what to do that would be excelent thank you in advance.
P.S theres a N-O-S (had to put dashes in for some reason as it blocks out the word) overclock thing too but dont know what that is. Im sure someone here has worked with a striker board before. Thanks.
