a little help please

i have an an asrock m/b with onboard sound,graphics etc.

i was getting 3 short beeps which was the ram speed settings had it to 400 not 333 speeds now thats fine BUT

when i turn pc on i get signal error not even one beep for post.
it all fires up as in fans spinning etc.

so far i have changed psu,g/c (tested onboard,agp and pci) i think it cpu or faulty m/b any ideas?.

p.s moniter is fine im 100% sure on that.

try clearing cmos... i had this problem whenever i changed something the bios that the motherboard didnt like... also if you power it on and off a few times and it will go into safe mode i think ?

sorry should have said i have done that.

what i dident say is the bloke who owns it left a m/b riser in wrong place where it may have shorted out somthing. i removed m/b put risers in correct postion and reseated cpu etc. still does a no signal error or no post any way not even the normal one beep.

Sounds faulty to me... which motherboard is it btw?

asrock k741.

yeah i was going down the road of m/b when i saw m/b riser in wrong place.

well he will have to get a new m/b and let me build it properly this time haha.
