A little help please.

Hi all, i just need a little advice, i am going to buy a i5 2500k and a AS Rock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3, and was just wondering if my memory i have at the moment would work on this motherboard i have looked at the as rock website and cant seem to see my memory on the compatible memory list the memory is Corsair Dominator 4GB(2x2GB) DDR3 TW3X4G1600C9D 1.8v ver2.4. any help would be much appreciated. Also does anyone have this motherboard and do they like it.

You may have trouble with that memory being at 1.8v, max memory voltage for SB is around 1.6v tops, ideally lower the better.

My bet is they will run at 1.5v-1.6v happily. But they might not, the only way to know is to try it and find out.

With Sandy Bridge Motherboards you need 1600MHz 1.5v ram.
If your ram can run at 1.5v then it may be ok but I'd suggest getting 8GB(2x4GB) at least as it's very cheap at the moment.
Check which ram is on offer when you order, todays recommendation would be

Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

They tested 1.5v with the ram at 1333mhz.
