a lot of incompletes from astraweb in last day

Seems they have an auto DMCA takedown process now which means anyone can put in a request to say for example 'UFC' is illegal and it automatically gets processed and taken down.

Not good as I've always loved AW

So Supernews is the one to go for now?

Supernews are not as bad as astra I am with them but as they are basically giganews they do get a few dmca notices as well but nowhere near as bad as astra. There are a few decent services out there that dont do dmca takedown notices if you look hard enough

No problems on AW Europe ssl for me. The only one I had problems with was one of the postings that was on auto takedown that everyone had problems with.

The incompletes all depend on what you're looking for, what servers each company goes after, how quick the usenet provider processes them.

In general I noticed Astraweb was being hit for almost everything I used to try and download within 12-24 hours. You can't blame Astraweb they're trying to run a business and not get sued or go to jail. On Supernews at least for now there's a longer window on the things I've tried to download. Don't think it's perfect though, you will get some incompletes there too.
