The other day I was clearing out a whole load of junk computers from work. The NHS have been in this building for 50 years so you can imagin some PCs were old. I thought Id taken the biscuit with some Dell GX1's and a few Windows 98 laptops... but then a colleauge produced this little beauty!

I cant remember what its called, But it apparently has a 486 in it running Windows 3.1 on 8 megs of RAM, and stll works!

To give you an idea of the size of this 'mobile' computer, the keyboard is a full size keyboard! It weighed as much as a house!

Just thought Id share a little blast from the past!

Are you sure its as high specced as you say? I only ask as i have a laptop here which looks if anything more modern than that, yet is only an 80386 with 2MB ram. Rather confused that the one pictured could be as "good" as you say.

What is its screen like? I am assuming either monochrome, green/black, or orange/black?

Boss had something similar at my first work place, the thing was bigger than a briefcase weighed a tonne, was crazy this thing

but soo cool! :D

God I'm a geek :(

Nah, the screen was colour! I never got round to checking the specs, I was told they were a 486 wit 8 megs RAM. I did question them tho, as my first Windows 95 machine only has 8megs RAM.

I bet it was only discovered because the user complained of his email & internet not working :p

'She' bought it in saying she didnt need it anymore and wondered what we wanted to do with it. It had previously been moved by someone from one building to another within the last 6 months. Someone cared for this thing!
