Well to annoy the kids who frequently post about how they spent £1500 to insure their Corsas I just thought i'd like to mention how much I got quoted earlier for a year on the 306TD runabout...

£159 TPF&F!

Thats before i've even applied my 6th year ncb and haggled with other companys. Unlimited miles too lol

Quality :D

The quote for my new car is pretty funny,

late 2002 BMW 330i Sport, 6-points, 21 years old, 1NCB, comp cover, £10k value

£660, or £670 with DOC extension :D

Not bad, although I pay £350TPFT for a 1.9TD Xsara, 22 years old and 2 years no claims, I'd expect you to pay that unless your stupidly young which I doubt having owned a Pulsar!

Get this one.

£111 a year for a Mercedes Benz C200 Elegance on a 1999. Doing 20k per annum with business. I am 33 with a 13 years NCB but I was seriously impressed even though the cover was TPFT.

Confused.com can sometimes work. ;)

Admiral the former, and the DOC cover quote is with Bell, using their flexibell policy. Same group so not suprised that their quotes are virtually the same.

Interesting, so do Admiral still not do DOC for under 25s?

You always produce low quotes though you git!

I can get quotes of ~£500 but thats on things like rover 214 bubbles and 220 diesels!

My turbo insurance at 21 with 1ncb 0 points is £1250 tpft with mods declared which isnt "that" bad but could be better!

I could never get a quote that low even on a motorised lawnmower, as I (according to the insurance people) live in the ghetto. :(

Use grans address or something? Technically illegal, will you get caught, unlikely

Without shopping around, changing car on my policy worked out to £600 in total for the year. Not bad for a group 18 car :).

490 quid renewal, fully comp on my policy from Adrian Flux this year. Pretty reasonable :) Still sighing a bit from loosing 1 years NCB due to switching policy holders mid-term but ah well, what can you do :)

I might go seeking else where mind - I hear good things about Quinn? I'm pining for DOC as I'm tired of adding temporary vehicles to my policy and the majority of them I wouldn't mind if I put through a fence sideways then set fire to them.....

Not bad though eh. I don't actually have to renew until May so at that point i'll start phoning around and get it down

Would be good to have a sub £140 quote. I've never had such cheap insurance, but then again i've never driven such a slow car lol
