A new fan for my psu

I'm in need of something quieter, it's by far the noisiest part of my system.

Any recommendations? It has to be naturally quiet as I don't want to link it to my fan controller.

What psu?
Is it the fan, or just vibration noise caused by a thin metal case/psu contact.
I've found isolating the psu from the case with a gasket has helped to reduce the noise.

PSU's are usually FRU's (field replacement units), ie, you don't change parts, you change the whole unit.

I have replaced the fan in several psu's, but opening the psu will invalidate the warranty.

It's out of warranty anyways, I can definitely remove the fan as I've done it before to clean it.

It is quite simple to do but tbh, if it's in warranty then you should excercise this right.

If you do decide to repair, then be sure to stay away from the capacitors. Anti-ESD measures won't save you.

As for what fan. First start by working out what fan is in there and going from there.
