you can select "anglais" for the OS so that is not a problem. THe site is run by ovh who have english support. All you need to do is get through the signup process which is really not that difficult with a little help from babelfish.

Would make a very reasonable web/game/shoutcast server for the money.

Agreed. Especially considering the domain name was only created three days ago.

I'll admit www.ovh.net does appear, at first glance, to be the website of a reputable company, but a Celeron dedicated server on an unlimited 10Mbps port should cost a bit more than £15/month. The bandwidth (if fully utilised) should cost at least five times that amount alone, let alone the hardware and support fees.

People shouldn't invest in web hosting or dedicated servers based on pricing anyway.

That's a stupid price, it's probably hosted in someone's back-room 'datacentre' on an SDSL connection. At that level of pricing it's not possible to sustain a properly powered, cooled, connected and staffed datacentre - trust me I've investigated it in depth.

However, for a hobbyist, it makes a nice alternative to a VDS I guess
