a new my documents, plus get it listed on start menu

i hate it when software puts folders that yu can't remove in my documents as it makes it look extremely messy. what im hoping i can do it make a new folder anywhere on my pc called "documents" or something and then have a lnik to it from the programs so that instead of going to my documents ot goes to "documents" if that makles sense and have it listed on the start menu bit with recent documents etc.

is this possible?

You can redirect your standard 'My Documents' folder to anywhere on the PC. Mine is on my E: drive, so if I need to reinstall windows, I don't lose my data.

but wont folders still appear on my documents which would be the whole point of doing this? like last xp i had about 20 folders in my documents, about 6 being the ones i wanted and the rest from pgorams like skype, sailer clicker and all the games so far i've installed
on the new xp have put folders in there

I just delete the ones I don't want...if it doesn't like it, tough, it's MY documents, not it's documents.

Right Click > Properties > Hide.
