A new Unreal Tornament ?

Just wondering, im a keen ut follower, however as ut3 didnt really cut the butter like all its predecesors does anybody know if Epic plan to make a better one and to correct any mistakes previously made ?

Well they brought out the 'Black Edition' patch for UT3 that fixed/added/updated a lot of the game, which made it a fair bit better.

No doubt there will be a UT4, but i've not heard anything about it.

ah, ive only really had a quick blast on it as my current pc isnt up to the task. i think ill have to revisit it

I liked the GOTY edition, think it was just called UT Tournament.

UTK4 was the best by a country mile. I used to play ONS-Torlan for hours on end.

Agree. Unreal was probably one of my all time fave FPS. (Unreal 2 was pants however).

Doubt we see another Unreal Tornament until Epic completes the Unreal 4 engine which wont be till after 2012.

First one was easily the best. Played a bit of the new one but wasnt too keen on the whole your team vs evil organisation thing.

Better when it felt like it was a proper team on team affair.

Apart from the truly legendary levels on the first UT, I really enjoyed warfare and onslaught modes in the newer games. Problem with UT3 is they didnt get it right at launch and due to that it never really took off

Probably wasn't called Unreal Tournament Tournament, but just Unreal Tournament lol.

Yeah it was the best UT and still is. They started adding stupid crap, massive levels, stupid gamemodes. It all got a bit too much when all people wanted was just a basic shooter.

UT99 was the best. 2k4 was almost as good but it just had too much rubbish going on with vehicles and additional game modes.

Anyway on topic, didn't Epic kick up a big fuss at the PC gaming community after UT3 was released? Something to do with piracy and low sales?
I thought they'd given up on the PC completely.

Meh, original ut was good, didn't relaly get into anything after that. Had to laugh at epic and their main mouth piece Mark Rein whinging after ut3 came out and people thought it was turd.

Thought UT3 was amazing, I could play it loads. It's just everyone seems to play on vehicle servers which I hate. I just want to play normal deathmatch.

unreal tournament is not coming back. gears of war replaced it and its way more profitable for epic
