A new Unreal Tornament ?

UT>2003>ut3>2004

I prefer the non vehicle games and might as well have the eye candy of 3 if the vehicles are in.


i play nexiuz now its free and captures the fun of UT
 
I've been playing UT3 loads recently, I've loved them all for different reasons, UT99 will always be thought of fondly because it was such an awesome game at the time, but I couldn't imagine playing it now.

UT3 on Deck with a decent group of similarly-skilled players is intense!

I only ever play deathmatch though, that is what UT should be imo, but I think the general public seems to want more these days.
 
Apparently wont be another till there's a new engine, TBH I love UT3 but I don't play it because no one else plays it, game didn't catch on and is now stuck in a viscous cycle

Yeah it was the best UT and still is. They started adding stupid crap, massive levels, stupid gamemodes. It all got a bit too much when all people wanted was just a basic shooter.

Yep, the music rocked and the original still is the best of the lot. I still on the rare occasion instal and have a blast on it.

I never got use to all the extra crap in the later ones, riding in big tanks etc just put me off. Same thing with WoW actually and there battlegrounds involving machines.. blahhhh
 
UT99 was awesome and has an online "gameplay" and feel that still cant be replicated today 10 years on.

Took over my life in the early naughties. and my mate who came 2nd in world cyber games 2002 korea plays COD MW2 with me now :D

Tried to get back into UT a few months back in the evenings but couldn't get back to a decent enough level. the top players and duelers are too far ahead to have fun game with.

Wondered why I couldn't get back up to that level and when i had a day off work, i found out. They're still spamming IRC for duels during the day when everyone else is at work. hah old habits!

Love UT.....
 
Another game will never capture the magic and nostalgia of the originals sadly :(
I quite liked UT3s core gameplay, it just had some niggling issues and a complete lack of players. Epic need to hire Infinite Ward's marketing team for UT4. They've proved the game can sell millions of copies even if they rip out dedicated servers and have thousands of people boycott the game :p
 
I still play UT2004, FPS multiplayer gaming has died on it's arse the past few years in my book, I keep hoping for something to come along and suck me in the way BF1942 (desert combat mod) & UT2004 did but nothing has.
 
Unreal 2004 was by far the best, first one was amazing but just loved 04 to death.

Did some mapping for UT3 but didn't really like the game overall.

I doubt we'll see UT4 (or at least Unreal Engine 4) till new console are released, it's pretty much maxed them out at even at low resolutions & no AA!

The original UT was amazing. UT2k4 was fun but it never had that same magic. I actually enjoyed UT3 after they patched it up - more so than 2k4 - but it was too little too late and the GameSpy browser should be banned.
 
they need a UT99v2 the game just needs some polishing off to make it perfect , the netcode and some other little things like a newer zeroping and the game would be brilliant COMEON EPIC U CAN DO IT !!!
