A PC for vids.. help needed

I currently have a "spare" pc and so as Im cheap i'd like to reuse it. I have a lot of videos in Divx format and dont want to put them all onto DVD just to watch them (via divx dvd player) so I would like to use the spare PC to watch them via the TV. I dont want the PC to use a monitor as i have no space..

So the PC is;

2.8 cel, 2x256mb ddr333, OB Intel GFX Matx with AGP Slot, XP Home Oem

Its in a GIGANTIC rubbish case so;

Antec NSK1300 ATX Cube Case
Antec NSK2400 Desktop Case
OcUK Value X-Qpack Cube Case

Not sure which one tbh but that doesnt matter much as shouldnt matter but heres where i need advice/help;

1 How Do i output sound and picture to my tv
- TV has Scart and/or Composite (RedWhiteYellow)
- PC has VGA + 2.5(or 3.5?)mm Jack

2 Can I control the pc using the tv? Or could i also use TightVNC or both?

3 Would a wired 100mb be able to stream a divx file well enough?

4) Will OB GFX be okay or do i need a agp gfx card if so which?

You need a multi av out adaptor for the graphics card. You can get vga to scart adaptors but they are more expensive. Sound card can just a mini-stero to rca connector.

No.

Yes

4) Will OB GFX be okay or do i need a agp gfx card if so which?

Will be fine for non hd stuff.

i highly recomend the X-qpack as i have one

1) u can use a VGA to scart leed for video but not sure on audio

2) No

3)Yes

4)Yes

If i can use the vga out for vids/divx why not controling (Just wondering)?

will the pc be okay just runnimg via vnc and with no monitor?

Graphics cards only input and output video they can't accept any other type of signal. And tvs don't output any type of signal whatsoever, they can only accept incoming signals.

Vnc will work fine.

That connector will work if your pc has a composite output, do you have a picture of the output on the motherboard?

Ah no but i'll got a gf440 with a composite lead on it so i will use that

Use the TV as a display with wirelss kboard and mouse?

I meant will you be able to see text and such like properly?

A non high def tv doesn't show up text very well.
