My preference for writing the date is YYYY/MM/DD but maybe that is because I am a programmer and it is the only unambiguous option.

We use that at work too, but Americans are going for 03/10/2025 which is mental.

I just don't like American English.

That's not unambiguous. I work in pharma and the only one recognised in my industry is dd/mmm/yyyy. Even the Americans can't get 10Mar2025 confused.

Americans when they say they're going to try and do something, lets say they're gonna change a tyre, they'll come out with something like "lets see if we can't change this tire". So you're gonna attempt to fail?

They do the same with the saying "I could care less" which makes the saying completely broken when they use it that way.
