A Plea: Crackdown

No one knows for sure yet, the Halo 3 forums are aflame with people asking where they can get these "special" Crackdown copies with the code and if they are only available in the US or if they are only available through pre-order.

My pre-order says "With Halo3 Beta Invite"

I think Crackdown looks decent, i've pretty much finished with Saints Row. So this will hopefully be as fun as that was. The co-op mode sounds good and it got some cool ideas. Was looking forward to the demo this week, but as said that has been put back. Will be worth a blast anyway.

Got the game on preorder but if the demo's not good, I'll cancel it. Halo 3 invite or not, it's Crackdown I'm interested in.

Coming from Dave Jones who made the original GTA and lemmings, I've got hopes that it's going to be good.

The game looks absolutely incredible naysayers are those casuals that go with franchises or marketing friendly titles.

This looks a purist game, looks brilliant and Jones is awesome

How dare people only like popular games.

On a side note, I thought the graphics were sub par of some current 360 games but I have never let that get to me before

Dude I don't mean the popular titles in general and buying them, it annoys me when gems like Ico and SOTC and what Crackdown looks to be get overlooked because they aren't marketed to the limit or popular by hype.

Looks a good crack to me, Ill be getting it. Never really understood all the fuss with Halo, I never thought it was that amazing. Ill try the beta but it's not why im buying Crackdown.

when i said looks brilliant i wasn't referring to graphics but they do look astonishing draw distance is incredible

Pre-ordered for a while now, not interested in Halo I thinks it's mediocre.

Although graphically it's no GOW it looks fun, has CO-OP and tbh watching the videos I like the movement of the character-fast and action packed.

I have no idea who Dave Jones is, but this game strikes me to be something very special, and extremely fun.

It's been waiting in the wings for a while now so hopefully with the time spent on it we can expect a very fluid, fast paced action game with no issues, i.e. slow down, tearing etc...

Roll on February (I hope) :D

cmon to be honest, people wont be buying this to play crackdown, its all for halo3 beta!

if crackdown is a good game then that is just a bonus!

You'd have to be missing a few brain cells to pay £40 for a time limited multiplayer beta =/

Hence this thread, think you missed the point hehe :)

Don't really give a toss about Halo 3 personally - never liked the first two, but I will be buying Crackdown. I think it looks awesome and I can't wait to play it.

I have this in my rental queue for when it comes out but after watching all those videos I'm not sure about it. It looks nice but I think unless there's decent story to go along with it I might get bored, fast.

Anyone remember Mercenaries on the original Xbox?? This game kind of reminds me of that, and that got boring really fast.

I hope I'm wrong.

I can't see this being particularly story driven, looks more like you and a mate going round the city blowing stuff up, racing cars, killing bad guys and generally causing mayhem. Basically my type of game.

Stories are for films, games are for fun...

Or I could be wrong :(
