Hi,
I have just installed Windows 7 on my HP pavilion dv600 laptop. Everything seems to works great. When I went into screen saver settings to set up a screen saver it say's in the middle "the screen saver can't run becase it require a newer video card or one that compatible with direct3D" so
In display screen resolution/advance settings/ adapter, adapter type is a standard vga adapter, went I try to update the driver it say's it is upto date.

Any suggestions?

Not sure what type of card is in my laptop.

Hi,
Been over to http://welcome.hp.com/country/uk/en/support.html put the model number in HP pavilion 6907ea can't find any drivers for Windows 7 only Vista.

Could I install Vista drivers?

If I can- are these the right drivers? Driver - Graphics NVIDIA GeForce Series Video Driver -

On the laptop there is a sticker saying "graphics by Nvidia"

Vista drivers will work fine. :)

There is absolutely no way a GeForce series chip won't support Aero. He just needs to get the right drivers, either from HP or from nVidia directly if possible.

GeForce 1-4 series don't support Aero. It runs (just) on an FX5200.

Most GeForce cards are supported out of the box (or via Windows Update) on Windows 7. If you can't anything else then go for the Vista drivers.
