hi i was just wondering if anyone knows of a program that will show your cpu temps in a similar way to fraps displays an FPS counter?
by that i mean, actually show the current temps in the corner of the screen whilst i'm playing a game so i don't have to tab out in order to see the temps.

sorry if this is the wrong place.

i don't know about in game but i do use coretemp. that shows min/max values. i'm guessing you're only interested in seeing the max? when you quit your game, you'll see the maxiumum temperature that was reached.

I haven't had this installed for a while but have you looked into Aida64 ? It can display on screen and "on top". If you have a Logitech G19 keyboard (and G15 I think) you can also display this info on the LCD screen on the keyboard too which is very, very cool :)

There's a trial version you can play with

coretemp is actually the program i use at the moment, it's very useful but i'd like to know what temps i'm running whilst in game. Obviously with coretemp i can only see the min/max unless i tab out every 5 mins.

If you've got an android phone you can install core temp on that and sync it with your pc app

thanks for the reply,
i downloaded the core temp app on my phone but it doesn't seem to be working, it says to create new monitor, so i enter a name and add my ip & port but it can't seem to find it :(

Any firewall on PC? Try disabling it and see if it connects. That way you know if it was the firewall or not.

I didn't know Core Temp could do that!!!

Just installed the 'Lite' version on my Nexus 7 and it's monitoring my Temps nicely!! :)

It'd be well cool if there was a 'Daydream' for it!!.. My Nexus 7 spends most of the day (working) sitting on my desk with 'Dashclock' sweeping across the screen, Core Temp and a Clock would be excellent!! :)

did yours work from the go?
or did you have to play about to get it working?
