So I've been recording games for a while but now and then the frame rate will plummet and I'll be forced to halt recording until it sorts itself out. Some games are worse than others, and not necessarily in correlation to their graphics.
For example dungeon keeper 2 lagged for me when dota 2 was fine.
Apparently this can be caused by the software recording and saving on the same hard drive as the game thats installed.
a lot of people will have the output going to one hard drive and the installed game in another for this reason. Unfortunately I only have 1 internal hard drive. So heres my question: will an external harddrive be just as effective?
