A question about minimizing.

Hi,

When apps and windows are minimized can you make them appear in the taskbar as just icons, or at least make the width shorter?

do you use ie or firefox for web browsing?

firefox has tabs, so all windows appear in one window which cleared up a lot for me

also, i unlock the taskbar, stretch it to 2 or 3 bars, then lock it again, i can't work without it like this

Is there a way of making the address bar use Firefox instead of IE? Firefox is set as my default browser but ie still loads from the address bar.

Your address bar is surely wasted space 90% of the time?

How do you get the toolbars underneath each other? For some reason the handle on the left of all the toolbars take up all the rows of the taskbar and not just the row the toolbar is on.

just drag it about a bit... it's not difficult. In winXP you need to 'unlock' the toolbars

You can turn it off, right click on the taskbar and pick properties, uncheck "Show the clock".
