A question re G-Sync and windowed gaming

I'm looking to upgrade to G-sync enabled monitor (not decided which yet). I currently play WoW using two monitors (one for the game in full screen windowed mode, the other for my Twitch feed and other info). I read somewhere that G-Sync won't work if you play a game in windowed mode. Is this correct? I sincerely hope not....

Incorrect, beginning in driver version I can't remember, you can enabled g-sync in window mode.
