ok, quick story and i need a really quick answer as im off to sort this in 20 minutes,
a friend of mine hired a tech out to his business to get wireless net up and running, the tech spent 3 days and bought him 2 different routers and cost my friend £120 (one of which was incompatible with ADSL) before my friend called me up.
i got the router working, a brand called DYNAMODE ???? (i only like and will only use netgear linksys and D-Link) but even though the laptop that was to be wireless was only 12 feet from the router, its signal strength was terrible and today has dropped out...
so ive advised him to get a new router as opposed to a brand ive never even heard of before that seems to be "el Generico"...
these are the choices...
LinkSys Wireless-G WAG354G ADSL Router / Gateway £62.22 inc.VAT
or
D-Link DI-624B 108Mbps Wireless Broadband Router £49.29 inc. VAT
which would you use and why...
also does anyone know if the D-Link will take an RJ11 phone jack as its for ADSL ?
