I've travelled extensively around the world, but more so before the internet was really "big" - and when it was it was mainly work related. Furthermore, owing to my (fortunate) extensive/global acquaintance/family network I effectively "couch surfed" without really realising i was doing it!

However, it seems like a great idea/concept to formalise this sort of thing - as not everyone will be lucky to be in a position to have contacts around the world.

I'd never consider actually doing it although know someone who did and someone who hosts. He's a bit of an oddball and is a bit of a desperate sort who doesn't seem to have all that many mates. He is still alive though and he has got to go abroad practically for free.

I love the story, my gf needs a survey completed lol. yea right. I bet you do the same on about 50 forums with 50 different accounts every few months we get this thread asking for survey completed requests. If you get few hundred completed that is like £100.
