can you add an option "Who cares?" cos i pick that one

I could do, but that wasn't the point of the poll, I am trying to find out if it people are disappointed/surprised to know that these companies don't do all their designs in house.

couldnt care less as long as the product does what it says on the tin.

I don't know if what is claimed is true, but honestly im not really bothered either way. As long as the cards remain fast, cheap and competitive I'll be happy and I'll keep purchasing them.

No idea if it is true or not either (I must admit I didn't even think that it might not be true) and I can understand people not being bothered by it, but are/were you disappointed/surprised to find out that it is/might be the case.

Does not bother me, all that matters is end performance. :)

What? Please explain your question more clearly.

the question is as it is in the opening post.

I have just found out that maybe AMD and Nivida do not design their own GPU's, they send instructions out and other companies do the design. no idea if it is all the design or only some of it. This surprised and disappointed me, I would like to know if anyone else is disappointed or surprised, or of course were already aware of this.

It's a standard business practice to subcontract, how or why would this disappoint anyone unless they were a fully invested fanboy of either side? Almost every company in the world does it...

Are you disappointed that Nike subcontracts the glue making process for their trainers to another company?

but this is not a case of Nike subcontracting the glue making process, this is them subcontracting the actual design of the trainer, and I don't mean howthe outside looks.

lol Nike are one of the only sport orientated footwear companies to still use the far east (cheap labour) as far as I know. Poor example :p.

I quite like the iPhone. It doesn't bother me that Chung Chin put it together at the Foxconn plant the day before he decided to strike. Still a decent phone :p
